Reinforcements have arrived

Hello dear friends,

We suck. We have been kind of busy these past few months, but, really, we should have been posting something. The girls are an unending source of entertainment lately, so it is too bad that we have no videos or pictures to prove it. The biggest news is that on January 18th, our au pair, Jessi, arrived from Berlin, Germany. While we were uncertain how things would work out, she has been a true God-send. The girls love her and she does a great job with them. It is always "Jessi, this, and Jessi that" with me and Teresa often left in the dust for Jessi. Of course, this was the plan, because once April 14th, or there about, happens, life changes for everyone. Of course, on that day, we expect Kelsey Anne to arrive (I hope she does not decide to come early!).

We have been taking Lily to speech therapy since December and it seems to be making a significant impact. She talks much more than she used to, but still nowhere near as much, or as clearly, as Addison. There is still some work to be done, but we are so encouraged by her progress in just a few months.

We tragically lost a dear friend of ours two weeks ago, Kay Snow. She has been Teresa's best friend in Athens from almost the first week we arrived. It was Kay who helped Teresa feel welcome and dragged Teresa to all sorts of activities, helping Teresa meet a large group of people, really making this small town feel like home. Kay was like this with everyone she met, everywhere she lived. She was the type of person you liked to see in the morning, because when she wished you to have a great day, she actually meant it. We miss you Kay, rest in peace.

As the big day gets closer, I promise to let you know what is going on with us. Maybe a picture or two might make an appearance.

peace!

Congratulations! Yes, some details would be nice...South Africa? Surprise?

Also, I'm very sorry to hear about your friend's passing.

lynnette,

We have five frozen embroyos in South Africa and were headed to use them, when Teresa did a home pregnancy test...shocked given that it took us so long to get pregnant the first time with the twins. Who knew that you could get pregnant the old fashion way.
